We attended our very first Bridal Expo yesterday at the Antique Auto Club of America Museum in Hershey, PA. It was quite the experience. This was the first time that we actually were going to showcase our works and our service directly to brides who were looking to buy. It was a little unnerving to be honest with you, because we didn't know what to expect or how they were going to react.
We have to thank Miranda Metz and Lauren Gutshall for coming out and helping us cause we needed the promotional help. Nate and Doug are more creative and technical types that are not big into selling and Sovanna gets nervous and overtalks, so it was nice to have that balance.
After the dust was cleared, we came out with a lot of new fans (both brides and vendors) and we look forward to forging new relationships and creating new cinematic magic. Time will tell.
Here is a list of some of the very talented vendors that we have become fans of and the nice part, they became fans of ours.
AACA Museum - great unique place to have a wedding ceremony and/or reception. Melissa and her staff were great to work with and we appreciate her kind words about our work.
C&J Catering - talk about a great group of fun people to be beside at an expo. Their booth was creative and beautiful, and the deserts that they were giving away were oh so good!
Hammaker's Flower Shop- simply beautiful work. We were impressed by their floral artistry.
Jazz Me Band - at first, we weren't thrilled about having a live jazz band playing near us as we were afraid it was going to drown the music to our videos but once they started playing, we didn't mind so much. Very talented group of musicians.
Hershey Dental Associates - yes, we were just as surprised as you are to see a dentist at a bridal show but after talking to Dr. Buehner and his staff, they proved to us that your smile is as important as your dress on your wedding day. Never thought of it that way, but so true.
Christopher Lee Films - Christopher came up to us at the expo and introduced himself and said he was a fan of our work. We appreciated the comment and of course, we had to check out his website. His first wedding highlight had U2 playing in the background (Sovanna's favorite band) and we knew that we were going to like him and his work. We have a feeling that we will be collaborating in the future.
Who says it's Always Sunny in Philadelphia? Despite the constant downpour, nothing was going to stop Bethany & Chris from having a great time and creating a memorable wedding for themselves, and for their family and friends.
The weather stopped us from doing any exterior filming but the Cescaphe Ballroom was such a grand location, and had so many unique areas for us to capture the couple in. The details, the colors, the traditions, the ceremony, and the reception were fantastic. We had so much fun with Bethany & Chris and we know that they are going to make a great couple! Thank you for letting us be a part of your day!
We brought in two of our friends for this SDE. Thanks goes out to Brian Shaub and Kennon Fleisher for helping capture this special occassion. We look forward to working with these two creative minds for future weddings.
We also had the great fortune of working with a top-notch wedding planner in Isis Petrie who runs Posh Events LLC in Cherry Hill, NJ. If you are planning on getting married, and want great creative vision and stress free planning, we suggest you give Isis a call. Cheers!
